The Real-Time Protection feature provides automatic protection which checks computer systems for suspicious activity in real-time. It detects malicious objects, once they are accessed or started.
This feature is running in the background without causing noticeable strain to your computer system.
When the Real-Time Protection feature is turned on, make sure you are not running another software having real-time protection and process monitoring components. The two programs running together may adversely affect your system performance.
To adjust the Real-Time Protection feature, follow these steps:
1. On the left navigation menu, select the Real-Time Protection option. The Real-Time Protection dialog opens.
By default, the Real-Time Protection feature is enabled. Single click the slider to switch between two positions. The green color stands for Enabled, which means that the Real-Time Protection security service is active and fully functional. The grey color represents the Disabled status, i.e. the service is deactivated. If you do not have a good reason to deactivate the service, we strictly recommend that you keep the Real-Time Protection feature turned on.
You can also enable/disable the Real-Time Protection feature from the Home tab.
To get access to the advanced configuration options of the Real-Time Protection feature, click the Advanced Settings link.
Any threat detected by the Real-Time Protection feature is recorded in the Detection History.
