Scanning is considered to be a process of reading drives on your PC to detect threats with further quarantining or removing those threats. You can specify areas or files or both to be scanned on your computer.
The following scopes of a scan process are supported by the adaware antivirus application:
A Quick Scan is the fastest and easiest way to scan commonly affected areas of your computer. It saves your time in detecting active malware by taking just a fraction of the system resources needed by a regular virus scan. This option performs a fast scan of your system and checks only running processes in memory, susceptible registry keys, and cookies.
A Full Scan performs a thorough scan of the entire system for all types of malware threatening the security of your computer.
Custom Scan
A Custom Scan is a network audit based on the parameters that you configure: running processes, registry files, cookies, and particular drives and folders, etc.
Automated Scan
An Automated Scan allows you to set your own schedule for a regular Full or Quick scan execution.
A Context Menu Scan allows you to detect and remove the malware that already resides in the system. You can choose what drive, folder or a file the adaware antivirus program should scan.
