Adaware started during power up -- BUT Scans cannot be activated

System:

Edition    Windows 10 Pro
Version    22H2
Installed on    ‎9/‎19/‎2020
OS build    19045.3208
Experience    Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19041.1000.0

Adaware License active. [just checked]

Problem: As of yesterday Adaware does perform scans anymore.

Observations:

• Adaware is started during power up.
• Adaware icon is available in the task bar under 'show hidden icons'
• when right clicking on the adaware icon (in show hidden icons)
  and select any of the property menue entries.... NO ACTION.
• during the day, Adaware shows cleanup notifications... BUT when I click it just disappears (fades away)... NO ACTION

So, any help is appreciated.

  Sometimes, restarting the Adaware service can help resolve operational issues.

  1. Open Task Manager: Right-click on the taskbar and select Task Manager.
  2. Find Adaware Service: Look for any Adaware processes or services running under the Processes or Services tab. Tiny Fishing
  3. Restart Adaware Service: Right-click on the Adaware process/service and select Restart.

  If restarting the service doesn't work, reinstalling Adaware can often resolve software-related issues.

  1. Uninstall Adaware:

     • Press Win + X and select Apps and Features.
     • Find Adaware in the list, click on it, and select Uninstall.
     • Visit the official Adaware website and download the latest version of Adaware compatible with Windows 10 Pro.
