Adaware Antivirus trouble

I recently installed Adaware Antivirus to protect my system, but I'm encountering some issues. My computer has started to slow down significantly, and I've noticed higher CPU usage since installing the software. Additionally, I've received a few pop-up notifications claiming to have detected threats, but when I try to scan those files, the process seems to freeze.

I've tried restarting my computer and running a full system scan, but the problem persists. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot or resolve these issues would be greatly appreciated.
