How can I exclude a .exe that I want to keep?

I have a personal .exe program that I use only on my computers and it keeps getting deleted or even when excluded it is stopped from running. Also ad-aware keeps removing it from all my usb drives when I try to back it up. How can i fix this? It's a database program for my work and this is a real problem.
