Hi,

You're best bet, as a paid user, is to contact Lavasoft support since they are better equiped to deal with your needs. You can log into the support center via the link in my signature and fire off an enquiry there.
Half way through the registry tuner optimization and tuner process under Windows XP Pro, the application crashed. Rebooting got me the blue screen of death with errors regarding deleted refistry entries. No ability to boot to any "safe mode" option.

I put the drive in another computer to recover the data files. It occured to me that the registry is backed up under Registry Tuner. Where is the backup located? Where is the corrupted registry so that I can replace it with the backup registry and then reinstall the hard drive in the crashed CPU so I don't have to rebuild operating system?
I can log into the forum, but not into the referred "Help" section.

My question should be fairly routine. Please REPLY here. Thank you.

The reason I suggested the support center is because these forums are mainly designed for users of the free programs - such as Ad-Aware Free. Lavasoft staff do not monitor these forums and so do not give out support advice here.

We, as volunteer helpers, try and help but we do not have access to the registry tuner so cannot often help.

However, I have read through the product manual (I suggest you do the same) and have found that it does indeed create a back up of the registry, but no, it doesn't state where - maybe the support team would know.

    Hi trader1one,

I run Reg Tuner on XP Home - the Full Registry backups are located in "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Lavasoft\Registry Tuner" and the Partial backups (created each time you fix any errors detected by a scan) are located in "C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Lavasoft\Registry Tuner\Partial Backups".

As part of my general system "housekeeping", I take a Full Reg Backup once a week, in addition to the Partials created during error-fixing. These have to be done manually - only Partials are created automatically during the fixing process.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Spike
