    Hi No1mamasboy,

I have sent you a PM with an instruction to remove the reboot required message.

    Ad-Aware isn't compatible with Windows 10 yet.

When will Ad-aware 11 be compatible with WIN 10. MS has sent out messages to start upgrading automatically.

I did the upgrade to Windows 10 from 8.1 on two computers with Ad-Aware Pro 11 installed. Ad-Aware has completely disappeared from the sys tray as well as the list of programs. Like the others, it still shows in my list of programs to uninstall, but based on your responses to No1mamasboy, I will not try to uninstall the program.

The question I have is that when Ad-Aware Pro is compatible with Windows 10, will the update fix this problem, or will the application need to be uninstalled anyway?

    Thanks!

    Hi Cecila,

I also have the same problem since upgrading to Windows 10, please can you also let me know how to un-install Ad-ware until a compatible version is released?

    Many thanks,

    Lewis

    Hi again,

I managed to un-install it ok apologies. Can you tell me when a Windows 10 compatible version will be available?

I hope the waking up from sleep problem will also be resolved by then.

    Many thanks,

    Lewis

    Hi all,

I have asked my contact person at Lavasoft, but haven't got an answer yet.

    Hi again,

Please, do a repair of Ad-Aware from the list of programs to uninstall. After that Ad-Aware should be working again, since it, for most users, works in Windows 10.

If Ad-Aware has been uninstalled, please install it.

If Ad-Aware isn't working well in Windows 10, please collect logs and other information by following the instructions in http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?/topic/33638-collect-logs-for-troubleshooting/to let Lavasoft investigate it.

Thanks Cecilia. This worked just fine. Ad-Aware Pro is now working in both computers with Windows 10. I ran a Quick Scan on both computers to test. All is well.

    Thanks Again!

    Cecilia:

Just an update on the fix provided above. Although the application is working just fine and the icon appears in the Systray, Ad-Aware Pro does not appear in the Applications listed in Windows 10. Using Cortana, a search for Ad-Aware Pro filtered under "My Stuff" shows no results under Apps.

No complaints as it still works just fine, but rather an update for information only.

    Hi dear,

I just upgraded Windows 10. Then my Ad-aware wasn't able to turn on Real-time protection.

After having tried to dis-install, it's not available to proceed installation the same program any more, instead of receiving ''reboot required'' after infinite reboot.

Does someone have idea how to resolve it?

Thanks so much for the answering.

    Hi again,

    Ad-Aware should be listed here:

    All apps - Lavasoft

On the same issue, I did not do a reinstall, but rather a repair as directed by Cecilia in the earlier post. I do NOT have Lavasoft listed in All Apps. As I said, it is in the Systray and working fine, but there is NO listing of the App anywhere in the list of Applications.

As you can see, there are only two aaplications listed under "L" and neither is Lavasoft.

Thanks, Lavasoft is working on the problem that sometimes happen after a repair in Windows 10, you have to reinstall Ad-Aware to get it listed.

I also "upgraded" to Win10. Now I get the reboot required message from Lavasoft. I tried uninstalling Ad aware and it did not help. Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Hello CeciliaB, I've been dealing with the same problem as the other users have said for over a week now. I'm sure it's something to do with UEFI and BIOS. Will you please send me a PM regarding a possible solution? Thank you bunches.

    Sincerely,

Grandson of Nana whose laptop offered a free Windows 10 upgrade on an incompatible device.
