Web Companion is stopping Curse Voice from working
Hi! I'm a QA Engineer at Curse and we recently discovered that Web Companion is stopping users from being able to connect to voice session in Curse Voice (http://cursevoice.com). Is there any way the we can be added to a whitelist or something like that to resolve this issue?
Thanks in advance!

Hi KashinRoss,
Thanks for your report. I installed CurseVoice, logged in etc but did not encounter any problems.
Can you provide the steps to recreate this, along with any screenshots or message? Thanks.

Thanks for the additional info, KashinRoss.
The cursecdn/curse.com domains are already in our whitelist, but I just spoke to our QA lead who explained that this behaviour was reported recently relating to a similar application.
It's curently being investigated, so the best I can do right now is advise that until we get a fix, Web Companion and CurseVoice installed on the same machine will result in the problem you encountered. Users should probably uninstall either product.
I'll stay in the loop with QA and if I get more info, I'll update here.

Sure Andy,
Here are the steps:
1. Log into CurseVoice
2. Click the Create button
3. Choose a game from the list (Any game will do)
From here the connection will time out after about 10 seconds and the user will not be able to join a voice session.

After testing quite a bit with Web Companion it appears that this is not resolved until Web Companion is uninstalled, the issue persists even when Web Companion is closed. Are there some firewall rules or proxy settings that Web Companion sets up that we should be aware of?

Thanks for the quick reply Andy! I'm looking forward to any further information that you come across.
