Why is Windows 7 not supported?
I've run the Lavasoft Registry Tuner on my Windows 7 computer and found out I should have paid more attention to the fact that Windows 7 is not yet a supported OS. Although the Registry Tuner does 'run' on Windows 7, some entries it deletes screws up launching of Windows Explorer from the taskbar. There could also be other problems I did not notice yet. For a paid subscription product, it is too bad keeping up with technology is not part of the package. Why is Lavasoft falling behind in this regard? It is too bad.

There's a link in my signature to Lavasoft Customer Support - that way you can let them know directly, as a paid user. This support forum is geared more towards users of Ad-Aware free. 0 -

Thanks for the tip. I guess I was just confused because this section is titled 'Lavasoft Registry Tuner' so I assumed it was related to the Registry Tuner product. I had no idea it was actually intended for users of a totally different unrelated Lavasoft product. Silly me. Now if only your link went somewhere related to the Registry Tuner for paid users that would be great. But I didn't see that either. So color me dumb. Thanks anyway.0 -
No, you're not confused. This is the right section, but products other than Ad-Aware don't see much action - the message board, as a whole, is where users of Ad-Aware free are directed for support.
I think you'll get faster response from Lavasoft Customer Support - it's for all paid users, I don't think there are sections. Once you log in and send an email or chat request, it should get directed to the proper support team.0 -
Well, I have noticed the support for Lavasoft Regsitry Tuner is inexistent /sad.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
As a licensed user of Registry Tuner since several years, I have contacted the support staff 2 times the past few weeks with questions about the compatibility of the program with Windows 7 and the possibility of an update of the program.
Aside from automated e-mails with my ticket number I have received NOTHING at all and thus NO ANWERS at all on my questions.
It's the worst support staff I know. They leave their clients out in the cold. And this is not the first time this happens the past years.
I certainly do not recommand anyone buying Lavasoft Registry Tuner. Besides it never got updated. It's still the very first version and nevertheless lavasoft keeps selling that obsolete program which apparently is not compatible with Windows 7.0 -
Hi,
Maybe try the live chat option to contact the Lavasoft support team rather than sending an email - you should definitely get a response that way!

Why does the "ticket" system exist then, if you have to use live chat to really get an answer to your questions? Besides it isn't always easy to get live chat available or to enter it... Where do I find that "live chat" on Lavasoft's website? 0 -
Well the email system should work - I don't know why you haven't got a reply.
If you log into the support center, on the top right you should see a Contact Support staff button. Click that. Then you'll get a new page and again on the top right there is a button for chat support.

Lavasoft's lack of support for Windows 7 may result in compatibility issues, as experienced with the Registry Tuner causing problems with launching Windows Explorer. While the software may run on Windows 7, certain functionalities may not work properly. Unfortunately, Lavasoft is falling behind in keeping up with technology, especially for a paid subscription product. Feel free to discuss similar experiences or seek advice on omegle.
