Bugs in AdAware 12 found by lankuzek

    I found a couple of minor bugs:


    • If the Context Menu scan is very short (for example, when you right-click a file and choose "Scan with Ad-Aware Antivirus"), the Duration Time is stuck on "Initializing..." in the Scan Complete window and in the report. Picture1.png

    • The Help Center > Software Manual > View button does not open a PDF user guide (manual) but to a page about activating A-A.

    • The third button in Help Center should be "Visit idwatchdog.com" and the fourth one "Visit lavasoftsupport.com".

    • The lists of reports, allowed/denied paths etc. are very annoying: if there is something cut out (filepath, threat name ...), there's no way to see it whole (no way to resize the window or resize the columns, the path doesn't appear in the tooltip, etc.) Picture2.png

    Since a new beta version has been published, please install it and check if any of the bugs has been resolved.

     

    No 2 about the manual: Probably due to that the manual isn't finished yet.

    2. (Manual button opens a page about activation) Probably will be fixed when manual is finished, like you said
    3. (Help Center buttons) Fixed - all buttons are now View
    4. (columns not entirely visible) Not yet fixed

    By that I think that you are using Ad-Aware 11, but please describe with more details what you are doing and what happens.
