Network Protection (firewall) blocking allowed programs
I have an interesting problem with the Network Protection... I have Mozilla Firefox added as an Application Rule as Allow (it got added to the list when the firewall was set to Default Action > Prompt). Then I set Default Action back to Allow, and everything worked okay for some time, but after a couple of days Ad-Aware started denying the Internet access for Firefox (Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at XX). Firefox is able to access the Internet if I turn Network Protections off, and the problem disappears immediately after C:\...\firefox.exe is removed from the Application Rules list.
Tested a couple of times, and the problem always reappears about 3-5 days after Firefox is added to the Rules list.
Other programs which also have the Allow rule work okay (Internet Explorer, for example, can access the internet ... but it's true I rarely use it).
(Windows 10 64-bit, Firefox is 64-bit too)
Update: The problem also goes away if you restart computer

Hi lankuzek,
Thanks for the report
Lavasoft would like to see screen shots of your rules for Network protection and, when Firefox is blocked, please upload the information requested in this topic: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?/topic/34672-how-to-report-a-bug/

Thanks, I'll re-add the rule for Firefox and upload the stuff when the problem occurs for the next time.

I have found the origin of the problem: When Firefox updates, it gets blocked until the computer restart. It's probably because the firefox.exe file is replaced with a newer version. The problem goes away if you restart your system or remove Firefox from the rule list.
Please let me know if you still need the information.

lankuzek, thanks for the information
Lavasoft is trying to reproduce it.

Hi again,
There is a new beta version available, please install it and check if the bug has been fixed.

No, this was not fixed. My Firefox has just updated to 51.0 beta 2 and the new version can't access the internet.

Lavasoft has tried to reproduce the problem but haven't been able to do that. What they did:
Selected Prompt in Adaware Network Protection.
Started Firefox version 44.
Selected Allow when Adaware asked: http://prnt.sc/ddsy2n
Changed action to Allow in Network Protection.
Checked for updates in Firefox, the update was downloaded and Firefox requested a restart.
After a restart of Firefox, it was possible to access internet.
Did you do something else?

This is Ad-Aware 11, isn't it?
I don't know why they cannot reproduce it. Maybe try restarting the computer after adding Firefox as exception. I use the beta channel of Firefox (currently 51.0).

Sorry, I didn't notice that they used version 11, I'll inform them.
