AdAware was unavailable during update

Here are all steps to reproduce

1. Enable Network Protection

2. Enable Web protection

3. Enable Real Time Protection

4. Enable Email Protection and log in gmail account to read email

5. Click on Software Update available and then download

Expected result :Users need to wait until definition is downloaded completely and then software will be automatically updating. In this time, users can see ad-Aware is available

Actual result: Users need to wait until definition is downloaded completely and then software will be automatically updating. In this time, users can see ad-Aware is unavailable

  Hi blackrose2017,

   

  That's by design. As other antivirus programs Adaware have to be disabled when its program files are changed. During that time period the computer is protected by Windows Firewall and Defender (Windows 8 and above). Since a software updates is done rarely with released products it's an acceptable solution, you also have to consider that it's seldom an antivirus program finds anything malicious in a real world computer.
