Is "Adware.Wintool.A" a virus or a file in SE Personal
Just in case anybody reads these things, an update. In answer to my question/title, no, Adware.Wintool.A is not a file in SE Personal. I am no expert, but I suspect the original virus was a file called: C:\Windows\Temp\tb-setup.cab=>tb_setup.exe which created mutilples everytime SE Personal checked it such as the file called: C:\documents and settings\default\local settings\temp\aawtmp\C1038272\52191\tb_setup.exe Bit Def Standard 9 could not disinfect either of these but could move the multiples. I used DOS and tried to delete the original but DOS could not recognise the last segment of the name, so I used "Del .\tb_setup*.*" and it apparently worked as Dir could not find the file and subsequent runnings of SE Personal and Bit Def have not found it either. Good luck to all of us!

THanks for the update. FYI, it is further explained here in the FAQ:
