Browser running suspiciously slow
My IE browser is running soooo slow! What's weirder though is that it's intermittent. So sometimes it'll quickly load up, say, Google, but then take ages to load up Lavasoft.com. Everything else appears to be running normally and other applications run quickly (Outlook, Word etc..) but the internet is intermittently slow. The only thing I've downloaded recently is IE7, but I got rid of it and went back to IE6. Up until then, the internet has been great.
I have AdAware, AVG Antispyware (paid version), McAfee, Spyware Blaster, Spybot S&D and SpywareGuard and I have run scans in normal and safe mode with all and can't find anything wrong. I've run CCleaner too, but nothing appears to making any difference. I've been hit before with malware and trojans, but have got rid of them successfully and was the reason I decided to subscribe to AVG for the resident shield etc.
My ISP is NTL and I've tried speaking online to one of their technical advisors who told me there was a problem with the NTL network and that could be the reason. However, that was three nights ago now and makes me suspicious that something more sinister is at work perhaps.
Can anyone offer any help please???
Nothing showing up on AdAware scan, so if it helps here is my HJT log.

Maybe you should think about Updating most of the software(s) manually
Maybe everytime you get online things are searching for updates.
If they are updating, like alot of things will do at the same time, they
may not be informing you of the times they are online.
If you have a firewall, like the old Sygate I use, and love, you can block
certain programs at certain times.
The lines I have left in the quote are really not needed to run any of those programs
they are probably taking up alot of your time and resources
Hope this helped

Cheers for the help mate and I'll have a look into those suggestions, although I think the problem still lies with NTL in my area.Do I need to worry about replacing the missing files highlighted on the HJT, and should I go ahead and fix the O4 items you suggested are not required? Just a bit wary of deleting stuff on the registry.
Cheers
I only suggest that you not use the HJT to fix the 04 items. You should do this manually through the
programs themselves.
If you cannot go through the applications themselves, like the Installer,
there is a nifty little tool from a programmer named Mike Lin you might like to try.
Note: there is one of a standalone and a Control Panel application.
I have been using both on many machines and have never had problems, infact,
it is a good way to determince some malware/adware you may not be aware of.
However, care should be taken when using these tools because Windows software
loads machine specific devices sometimes, so only uncheck the ones which you
know about, like updates and such.
These little programs do not delete anything in the Registry or hard disk, they just
move the RUN statements in the Registry to a location in HKCU_Software\MikeLin...
...An Echo from his page; )
Startup Control Panel
Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily
configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use
and, like all my programs, is very small and won't burden your system.
A valuable tool for system administrators!

Good wishes!

File missing does NOT always mean the file is actually missing!
Do NOT fix the 018 entry:
O18 - Protocol: msnim - {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} -
"C:\PROGRA~1\MSNMES~1\msgrapp.dll" (file missing)
See here:

Protocol {828030A1-22C1-4009-854F-8E305202313F} L msnim msgrapp.dll (often incorrectly listed by HijackThis as missing) MSN Messenger 7.5

Usher0001, please refrain from advising on HijackThis logs until you have had the training necessary - it is a tool that you need to understand how it works and can otherwise seriously damage someone's system if you do not.
