Computer Shuts Down When I Run Update For Adaware

When I attempt to update my definitions for Adaware, it causes my computer to shut down.

It flashes to a blue screen with a bunch of text and then it turns off my computer. When I turn my computer back on I don't get any notifications of problems. I'm running Windows XP.

 

I hope I'm not getting hacked.

Please help!

  Please post the contents of the blue screen error, specificly any numbers that start with 0x and any file names that end in .sys
