I am having the same repeated "sticking" problem on file #935:

    C:\\WINDOWS\system32\ntshrui.dll

Please advise if this is a problem with the latest update, our respective devices, or something else altogether.

Each time I perform a scan, it gets stuck on the same file

    c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$

    Any suggestions?

I am having similar problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled AdAware v 1.06r.1 and upon installation was told my definitions were 71 days old and I then downloaded them. Running the program it freezes and freezes the computer as well at about 86850 objects scanned (I am using this number because on various attempts the freeze up always occurs in this area). I then have to use ctrl+alt+del to get computer released. At freeze up it shows 30 running programs 1452 process modules. I am ruinning the Smart System Scan option.

I have run cleanmgr and scandsk but no help there. What is it I must do?

when any kind of secirity scan always stops at the same point, it is a lot more likely that the problem is with that place, and not the program. have you checked for viruses?

I did try and run the virus scan but it is not working either. It says files are missing. Virus is a possibility; what do I do if I can't run scan? The ad-aware se keeps stopping on .dll files. I am not exactly computer savvy, so I am not sure what that might mean. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
