    Hi petehuk,

    1. Please, tell us which file that Ad-Aware detects as a trojan.

    2. Please, uninstall:

    VLC media player 2.1.3

    Java 7 Update 71

    Java 6 Update 45

They are old versions with known vulnerabilities that can be xploited by a web page to infect the computer. Most persons don't need to have Java installed, but if you need to have it's important to have the latiest version.

    3. Most people aren't satisfied with Reghunter and Spyhunter.

All optimizing programs and registry cleaner sometimes optimize or clean too much and the result can be that a future Windows update won't install or that a program can't be uninstalled.

    4. Please, download and save FRST program on the desktop, otherwise the following won't work.

    Start Notepad.

Copy all text that is in the box:

    AlternateDataStreams: C:\ProgramData\Temp:661DFA1C
    AlternateDataStreams: C:\Users\Sony\Downloads\SoftonicDownloader_for_trojan-remover.exe:BDU
    S3 gfiark; C:\Windows\System32\drivers\gfiark.sys [41032 2013-05-23] (ThreatTrack Security)
    R0 gfibto; C:\Windows\System32\drivers\gfibto.sys [14456 2013-06-28] (GFI Software)
    S3 Lavasoft Kernexplorer; No ImagePath
and paste in Notepad. Check that no files have been split on two lines.

Save the file as fixlist.txt on the desktop.

    Exit all programs.

    Start FRST, please.

    Click the Fix button.

Wait until the tool has finished.

It creates a log file, called Fixlog.txt, on the desktop.

Please, paste the content of that file in your answer.

    5. Please, save AdwCleaner by Xplode on the desktop:

Turn off all programs, including browsers.

Double-click on AdwCleaner to start the program.

    Click on the Scan button.

Wait until the search has finished.

    Click on the Report button.

A report will be displayed, copy its content and paste into your answer.

If the report isn't displayed, it exist as C:\AdwCleaner\AdwCleaner[R0].txt.
