False Positive Driving Me Crazy
I'm using this program that connects to an IRC server to pull text from it, it's very simple and nothing commercial, and yet, Ad-Aware prevents it from connecting unless it's closed. It's safe software, I use it as a utility application for live streaming. Now, I've tried a few things...
1. Adding this program to the whitelist/exclusions, the folder it's contained in, and marked the exe extension so Ad-Aware knows to ignore it.
2. Turning off real-time protection, network protection, etc. Doesn't make a difference.
What in Ad-Aware is preventing this from starting? When I exit out of Ad-Aware and end the process tree, the problem no longer persists. This is driving me crazy and I'd like an explanation as to why the exclusion list isn't doing its job...thanks.
